The main aim of Riding for the Disabled NSW Centres is to provide an opportunity to people living with most disabilities the opportunity to interact with horses on every level - up to and including competition level.From anxiety disorders to physically disabling disorders, RDA is able to welcome and assist nearly everyone to achieve their goal. There has been a significant growth in medically supported and documented evidence of the mental, physical and emotional benefits of using horses as part of a therapy, for a wide range of medically diagnosed illnesses and disabilities. From Cerebral Palsy to PTSD, horses (along with other animals) are playing a vital role in providing therapeutic benefit to those who live and suffer with a range of issues. Using horses to provide therapeutic treatment, alongside modern medicine and more traditional methods, has a growing support among the medical community.
